Calzaghe's situation is that he looked so good against Lacy and Kessler that we now expect him to look great every time out. After the Hopkins fight, in which he didn't look good, one possible explanation is that he is beginning to slide, and this isn't unreasonable, because he has absolutely lost a bit of speed and reflexes since his younger days. However, I personally don't think he is 'ring worn', I think thats going too far, he's just a little older is all.

Yes and my argument for that was, I don't want to hear ANY KIND of that BS because of ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the **** everyone hears about Roy. Like I said there will be "NO EXCUSES come fight night"! NONE!!!!! There are NO excuses for Joe Calzaghe. I'm not saying Joe is making any, BUT no one can start talking all that nonsense bull **** like "RING WORN" and he's older and bla bla bla bla.... to me That's a sign that people are getting nervous for there hero.... I'm wondering why LATELY no ones being talking about how awesome he is....lol..... Is this a coincidence or are people really getting nervous for Joe and are thinking of ways to call him OLD and not primed or something? I find this VERY ODD..... All I see lately is negative stuff about him. Its really weird how this is panning out... quit interesting if you ask me.....

Joe is out of prime, there is no denying it, he is almost 37 years old, but if you want someone to say unequivocally that he will beat Roy then I am your man. I also say he will definitely beat Pavlik if they ever fight.

I don't know what others think, but to me he simply seems to have nothing special about him, and has awful stamina, but you knew that already

1 ko in his last 8 fights. He had a great jab but abandoned it and his skills deteriorated, his defense and fundamentals really regressed, he tended to back straight up and fought very amateurishly and did that hop step shuffle forward that no coach or trainer would condone or sanction.
The only thing that really bothers me about Taylor is that he has a ton of natural talent, but he wasn't too interested in developing it and using good fundamentals.
I will admit he looked so much better in the second Pavlik fight, so there's hope for him.

My opinion is that IF his mind is into it, Taylor is one of the best fighters p4p. It just hasn't been of late. But it's not to late!

I just find it odd that everyone is saying this now.... to me it just seems like a set up for a "JUST IN CASE" type of thing... but I truly believe this is not the case for you.... JT can't fight inside. He is like Wlad in many ways. Both have the same flaws and were exposed. Great jabbers who grab when fighters get too close, and have no inside fight game to help them rest and then come back to pound the other guy. They get tired in fights because of this flaw.

They said it before the Kessler fight too. Cal is at the age where he can look old in his next fight is our point. Everyone isn't big George, or Hopkins.

Joe, Hop and Roy are going to the hall regardless of who they lose to. They are old, close to shot, and that is a fact.
