Popkins just blocked the whole fight...so frustrating!!! and you still sing his praises??!! If Kessler offered Hopkins big money for a scrap...he would piss his pants and retire!!!!!!!
Hopkins wasn't always boring. It wasn't until his 40's when Bernard adapted the spoiling style he uses today.

It's sad to see him decide to fight on, Hopkins will be 44 years old soon and looked his worst against Calzaghe. I do give Hopkins a chance at beating Pavlik even at his age, but the younger man should be favoured in this one.

Pavlik won't look too good after this but it will set up a big fight against Calzaghe. Abraham would be a much better fight for Pavlik in my eyes but Hopkins is a bigger name.

Hey, I don't like this deal anymore than anyone else, but let's put this thing in perspective. No one will have too much to ***** about when it comes to Pavlik taking easy fights. Hes moving up 10 lbs to 170, fighting a legend. B-Hop is shot, and I wish he was may 40 instead of 43. But he's still cagey and a dangerous fighter. I don't think Kelly will look good, but I think he wins a wide UD. He's more active than Joe at this stage, and more powerful. KO possible, but not likely. And I like this fight better than Mora, Rubio, Griffin, or Duddy. Williams I was looking forward to, but oh well. It will be good to see Kelly beat a legend. I just hope he fights either Abraham or Calzaghe next, and I hope he doesn't have trouble going back down to Middle to defend.

I HATE the idea of this fight because I think Hopkins will likely win (ruining Calzaghe - Pavlik) or if Pavlik wins he will get majorly overhyped and Calzaghe's win over Hopkins would account to nothing.
So bottom line, you'll be rooting for Hopkins, a fighter you hate, because it makes Calzaghe look better. Wow just wow!

          Pavlik won't stop Bernard..

I dON"T THINK Bernard will even dare to trade with him.

          He will jab then clinch.

Boring fight, but Pavlik might land that one blow that could shift the momentum.

I don't think there's any question that Bernard would beat Pavlik in his prime.

Well I'm glad he isn't fight Williams, don't want to see my boy lose. I'm guessing negations went down or Williams was smart enough to realize that he wasn't ready for Pavlik. I don't understand the point of this fight, I guess it's just a way for Pavlik to see how well he does in 170lbs. This is a voluntary defense after all, no harm in taking this fight. I would rather see Pavlik vs Abraham in a unification bout, but the ABC sanctuaries prevent that.

Pavlik is going to get decision'd or put to sleep..Believe me when I say this. This is a very bad move for pavlik especially jumping up in weight to fight someone that is still fairly decent at his age.I'm not dissing pavlik in any way saying this but I think B-Hop is the wrong move for Pavlik.Especially moving up in weight too....

Think about it Bhop has nothing to lose .Pavlik has everything to lose .the risk isnt worth the reward here for Pavlik. But who knows.........

I'm not a fan of Pavlik but I give him respect for beating Taylor twice.

No body will ever stop Bernard, Pavlik might win but never stop him. Dont mater how old he is, the guy is a genius in the ring.

Dude is way too old now, but I wonder if Deebo would have been a decent HW boxer.

Hopkins by UD or maybe even tko. Pavlik's defense isn't that great and Hopkins' sneaky straights and headbutts will get Pavlik off his game and maybe lead to a tko.
