Hopkins could let Pavlik nail him flush on the chin 20 times and Hopkins wouldnt budge. His chin is superb and overlooked. Not to mention, very good defense and very hard to hit flush.

If Pavlik works that body, and with Hopkins fading badly late in fights now, its definetly a possible outcome, i just doubt it.

Ugh..this sounds like an awful fight. Hopkins is/was a great fighter but he's just a ****ing burden to watch recently. I predict he will spoil, clinch, pot shot, and head butt his way to a slim SD. Maybe bhop will throw in some low blow theatrics for good measure.

Kelly, while great, just isn't that sophisticated and I think he will have a hard time landing on bhop.

I hope Kelly knocks him out though, because a) maybe hopkins will pass the ****ing torch finally B) If Hopkins wins he'll never stop until somebody else K.O.s him...ruining perfectly good matchups (like calzaghe-pavlik) in the process.

This isn't good. If Pavlik fights at 170, then he should just stay at 168 then. No point in risking moving too much to 160 and lose a fight. I was really expecting Pavlik vs Williams, but Pavlik leaving Middleweight so soon sucks really ...

This is going to be a snoozer and no way in hell im buying it in PPV.

i disagree. If Pavlik wins, he becomes a much bigger name to the casual fan. ESPECIALLY, if he wins by KO.

AGREED!!!!!!!!! Bad decision, Hopkins is a bad style for a slower Pavlik, Hopkins is a bad style for anyone. I hope Pavlik wins in stunning fashion though, it would be awesome to see what Cal says regarding him.

I like Hopkins, but can he be a threat to anyone with his age???

I agree that Hopkins is a very tough man to stop, but Hopkins has never faced a huge puncher with non stop workrate like Pavlik.

I think the accumulation of punches from Pavlik will take its toll and Hopkins will get TKO'd in the late rounds.

sure. Early i think he'll give Pavlik fits with his herky jerky movements and his use of his head and that slick right hand. About round 5 i think Pavlik really takes over.

Its possible. Pavlik has a very good strong jab and if Hopkins fades as bad as he did against Calzaghe, which is a definite possibility, he wont be able to hold on very well. I could see it. I just think Hopkins has to much heart and is to tough to be stopped.

i love watching Kelly Pavlik the guy is a Warrior but this fight is gonna make him look really bad IMO ,Lockett managed to hit Pavlik flush and Locket is no great shakes ,Pavlik falls in when he punches with his right hand cause he likes to punch through the target all the while which means when he misses he leaves himself open big time ,on top of that Hopkins has one of the best counter right hands in the buisness and he is possibly quicker than Pavlik even at 43 years old and u saw how big Hopkins was against Calzaghe i would not be suprised if he won a decision and scored a knockdown doing it he had Joe on the floor and he has a great chin
