if hopkins loses, it will be based solely on an inability to match pavlik's intensity. u guys talk about hopkins like he's completely over the hill.....while he's no offensive wiz anymore, he still defensively tops in the game.

pavlik doesn't throw 1000 punches a round, so this fight will be a lot slower paced than the calzaghe fight (which hopkins won), and pavlik can be outboxed-ass he was in the second fight with JT, which i think he actually lost.

Taylor owned Kelly in that 2nd fight. Hopkin is in the same club as Toney, Mayweather, etc....the Unknockoutable club....

Hopkin will embarrass Pavlik, jesus it won't even be close, Hopkins will annihilate the bum.

I'm not so sure about this decision at all. First of all, that is a ****load of divisions to be going up in weight, especially when ur fighting a quality, though aged, opponent like Hopkins.

And Secondly, u have unfinished business down at Middleweight. It is going to be extremely hard for him to go up that high and then shrink all the way back down.

I like Pavlik a lot, but i dont like this move. I REALLY wanna see him fight Abraham. He would lost a lot of credibility amongst hardcores if he avoids Abraham.

I thought boxing fans have learned that it's likely to be a low punch output sloppy chess match that's hardly pleasing to the hardcore fans and a bore for the casual fans. I'm a little surprised HBO never gets tired of selling B-Hop. With that said I wouldn't miss it for the world and B-hop is cool with me.
