Rahman-Toney decision apalling

The fight was stopped because Rahman got a cut over his eye due an accidental headbutt. Even if Rahman "quit" it was the cut that was bothering him and so the fight should have been thrown out. If Rahman had known that if he retired he would have lost the fight he would have kept on fighting. It was obviously a decision that was influenced by Toney's "hometown hero" persona in the fight and the decision should be thrown out immediately. And whether or not the cut is big enough is irrelevant, you can't have someone lose a fight when they say they can't see out of their eye after a headbutt.

The doctor said he never did a proper assessment of the cut. He just went by Rahman saying he can't see. Rahman's corner were preparing for the fourth round but Rahman was just moaning! He didn't want to fight and the doctor called it off because Rahman didn't want to fight. Look at the David Diaz vs Manny Pacquiao fight. After 5 rounds Diaz's face was bust up bad and he had blood in his eyes all over his face and Diaz just kept battling on and never once moaned because he had heart which was obviously missing from Rahman! If Rahman wanted to fight he should've said he was fine let his corner deal with the cut and continue! Then if the doctor stopped the fight after that it would have went to the scorecards and would've been fair.

He got a slice on top of the eyebrow in the 2nd and started getting his ass whopped
Then the third round he was getting outclassed and tagged.
Now he thought in his own mind that if he pulls out now it would be a no decision

All that may be true (except for the cut not being serious), but you still shouldn't lose in the first three rounds because of an injury caused by a headbutt. In any other state that is ruled a no decision.

The cut has to be bad enough for the Dr to want to stop the fight. The cut last night was in no way shape or form bad enough for the Dr to stop that fight based on that alone. It was Rahman who said "I cant see" so the Dr took it as he was quitting.
