    (2) Lewis thought he was way behind on the scorecard even though many people had hatton up by a point or draw at that point.
    (3) He needed a KO because if the fight had gone on to a decision there is NO WAY tsyzu would get a decision in Manchester.

So he thought there is No point in putting tsyzu who hasnt really been through alot of rounds through another round of that .
yeah i was about to say, johnny lewis pulled kostya out.....

but even a 35 year old kostya would have KO'd hatton if the ref didnt let hatton turn the fight into a grappling match, hanging all over kostya

we don't always have to talk about floyd-kostya.

curious to know how people feel about say cotto and tszyu or maybe even mosley against tszyu if he didn't jump straight to welterweight.

oscar against tszyu would've been nice as well.

obviously the timeline doesn't really match so prime vs. prime at 140 your thoughts?

In think the best fight that could be made would be Cotto vs Tszyu. If Cotto's style reminds of anyone it has to be Tszyu. They are both cold, calculating, hard punching pressure fighters that beat people into submission and to top it off they both can box. This fight would be incredible, at 140 I would lean towards Tszyu, but at welter Cotto would take it.

At 140, he didn't fight the best in the division.

He finally did at 147 and arguably lost every fight to top competition.

Tszyu WAS avoided but not by Floyd. I think, in fact, he really wanted that fight.
i think oscar's career is the picture of perfect promotion and boxing management. he was a great fighter , not the best , but his popularity is hard to match.

i would've loved to have seen the oscar-kostya fight. i think it would've been great. much more entertaining than the floyd-kostya fight would've been imo. there would've been times when floyd would totally outclass kostya especially in the beginning.

oscar and kostya would've been great back and forth. i would have it going to a decision with either man possible of winning. kostya could've really damaged oscar though i don't know if he could knock him out. oscar has a great chin.

cotto-tszyu prime for prime i think cotto gets knocked out.

shane-kostya i just don't know...... that's why i'm interested in what people would think about that fight 'cause i honeslty have no idea what would've happened in that fight at 140.

cotto can swarm kostya and take away some of his power. he can make it pretty rough on tszyu but i think eventually kostya will catch him with something.

at 147 i give cotto a good chance of winning but at 140 his chin was a little bit shaky because of the weight drain.

kostya wouldn't do well in a division outside of 140 but at 140 he knocks cotto out.

This would be a hard fought, back and forth battle. At 140 I lean towards Tszyu but I think it would be too hard to call.

looking at just cotto's power , strength and skills i'd probably lean towards cotto even at 140.

the problem with me is the corley and torres fights......

i know it was primarily weight drain when he was at 140 , after seeing him at 147 his chin is solid , but i just can't get out of my head how he got rocked. he recovered and showed great heart but after seeing that it's hard to imagine how he'd recover from kostya's bombs.

at 147 i'll lean towards cotto because he takes punches better without the weight drain but at 140 i think kostya hurts him.

                See the clear difference?
So ***** street is when the referee has no choice but to stop it, because you literally can't stand.

Well yes, then Floyd wasn't on ***** street. Anyone who goes on to win a fight isn't on ***** street by your example.

Watch the fight , KT said no more then Lewis pulled it up , KT quit .

KT never would have beaten Hatton , his style was perfect to beat KT , you guys are making out Kostya is a boxing legend which is bull**** , a solid champion but not with the likes of the ODHs Mosleys Mayweathers etc they all would have taken KT with not much trouble , Kostya never really fought an elite fighter in his prime and he fought a lot of lightweights at jnr welter and then he got beat by a journeyman and never sort to redeem the loss , his biggest name fighter was Chavez who was totally shot at the time , Floyd would have beaten KT very easy I would bet my house on that , the great fighters can fight outside of their natural weight Kostya fought an average welter once and got spanked badly .

I have no problem with saying KT was a very good champion and a humble likable man , but boxing legend , ATG bla bla is bull**** .

DLH, Mosley, both avoided the 140 pound division champ Kostya. Mosley skipped 140 all together. DLH conveniently left after 3 fights.

None of them avoided Kostya , if you think that you are delusional , the money fights were at welter where Kostya feared to tread .
