Do you think he genuinely couldn't see? Or could he have continued but just jumped on what appeared to be an easy out?
Your oppinion, Rahman couldn't see or was he looking for an out?

Hey Im a Toney fan and was inches from betting real money, I think part of the reason Rahman quit is because he thought Toney headbutted him on purpose, he was complaining to the refereek. Also Toney started landing right hands, I think he saw James heating up and instead of going through possibly absorbing more right hands he tried to get a no contest. Rahman does have a point in that Toney hadnt done anything until the cut happenend, after the cut Rahman started getting hit, so maybe he couldnt see, but the thing to do seemed like to try and fix the cut and before the round started then see if you can see instead of determining that as soon as you get in the corner, that wasnt a bad cut and they could have gotten the blood out as it was out soon after the bout.Comment

I think it was clear as to what happened. Toney was starting to **** rahman up. you can tell rahman was lying when he said he cant see out of his eye because a). the cut was above the eyebrow, b). the cut wasn't bad and c) his eyes were wide open!
He basically felt toney brought his A game and was startin to school him so he bitched outComment

I agree.....irregardless of the official decision being right or wrong.........I think Rahman didn't want to fight anymore.
The one thing against Toney he had was that Toney could land flashy shots good for scoring but Rahman/Peters could walk through them for the most part. If Toney's right hurts you then you are in BIG trouble.Comment

He was looking for an out. Sure cuts suck, but they are part of the sport and fighters are expected to fight through them unless a doctor determines otherwise.
He tried the slippery way out and it backfired. The damn cut was controlled also and was not bleeding between rounds.Comment
