Cotto would definitely catch more of the mainstream populous that dont traditionally watch boxing if he were to do some of the antics that Mayorga did.

Buts its just not him. Cotto is more in the mold of Barry Sanders and Eli Manning. He isn't going to do a Chad Dawson (Ocho Cinco) and do an Irish Jigg...etc

But if I had to choose between talking and exciting game and fighting a boring fight (Hopkins) or being stoic and fighting in exciting battles (Israel Vazquez) then I'll take the latter.

actually Dominicans are the second biggest ethnic group in New York do to the poverty in the Dominican Republic. My barber moved from the Dominican Republic because he said it was really really poor. Don't talk down on people you are in the same boat with.
