Here's a tip, genius. When a fight is on PPV, the PPV revenues FAR exceeds the gate.

For example:

300K PPV buys x $50 = $15 million

20,000 seats x 200 avg = $4 million

But, I'm an idiot. So just ignore those facts.

And the casinos COMP many of the expensive seats to the celebs, boxing community, and high-rollers. This is why fighters try to reach PPV status. This is why promoters are willing to put fights in small venues in vegas, rather than trying to stage fights in the SuperDome.

We are talking about tickets but I these two dummies with comparing the gate of Bhop vs Winky to the gate of Cotto vs. Margo and they decided to get off topic to avoid the pwnage. Fact is.. no one comes to Vegas in the summer.. just like no one came to Vegas to see BHop and Winky few people are coming for Cotto v. Margo.
These idiots are trying to say that because seats aren't being sold its an indicator that the fight will do bad on PPV too.. but the Bhop fight did horrible at the gate yet still made decent PPV.
