Maybe a bit, but not much. There is a reason Pavlik is fighting at middleweight now and not super middleweight. Super middleweights are supposed to be better than middleweights. So if Froch is slightly better than Pavlik it's no big deal.
But for the fans' sake, lets hope Lacy loses in his tune-up so we can see Taylor-Froch.
However I do think Taylor is doing the right thing for his sake by trying to go with the easy fight so that he won't jeopardize his future by possibly losing three in a row.
