Collins chased Roy Jones like hell. I find it hard to believe that Collins would've turned down a contract with him.

I've also never heard that he offered Benn a fight either. Not saying that he ducked him, but it's just one of those fights that didn't happen.

Benn wanted to fight Jones but Jones chose to fight Bernard Hopkins instead. People may consider this a good idea by Jones considering what Hopkins has achieved but at the time he was pretty inexperienced and Benn was a much bigger fish.

But Benn did avoid Jones in a way towards the end of his career. He said he'd fight Jones for $10m because he knew he'd probably lose. He lost that fire after the whole McClellan thing and admitted he was way past his best

I heard that it was the other way round and that both Collins and Benn were chasing Roy for fights.
Ask yourself this .... would two absolute warriors like Collins and Benn turn down fights with anybody? myself i doubt it but hey ... the only people who know for sure are those involved so its all just speculation.

Depends what they were offered. If Roy offered them a small payday knowing they wouldn't take it, then it doesn't really count as turning Roy down.

I totally agree my friend, that would count as disrespectful in my book, both were excellent fighters and warriors and if that were the case it would have been outrageous.

I think Roy was being a little naive, Don King may have told him certain things leading Roy to believe they were basic offers, but I don't believe that to be the case. Benn wasn't really one for turning down big fights, they'll be a lot more to that then when Roy may or may not truly beleive.

When did all of these guys start ducking each other? This must've been a time period I missed. You guys have quotes, video footage, and all kinds of evidence lol. You guys have proof beyond proof. Guess what? A diehard Pav fanatic started this thread. Fools. By the way, has PAv answered the call of Abraham yet, or are YOU Pav fans still answering for him by saying, "He will fight AA after he beats Williams...the welterweight champ"? lol.
