IMO after guys like Hopkins, Calzaghe and Jones retire these two guys are going to be the stand-out fighters between 160/168/175.
I dont doubt for a second they are on course to meet in the next 2 or 3 years and im wondering who everyone likes when they fight.
With Pavlik we have a fighter who loves to mix it up with underated skills. His jab is very good and his right hand has a lot of power behind it. Pavlik likes to throw a lot of punches and has excellant stamina. There is somewhat of a question mark over his chin though. Ive seen him fight 7 or 8 times and he's been down in 4 of those fights and in two of those he's been hurt pretty bad.
With Kessler we have a fighter with no real weakness except mobility maybe (i think he's pretty mobile but ive heard people in the past claim otherwise, fair enough) Kessler has an excellant jab and his straight right hand is a thing of beuty, his right upercut is pretty devastating too (god knows how Calzaghe took that bomb in the 4th). Its been said in the past that Kessler has never tasted the canvas in his AM or pro career so its safe to say he has a pretty solid chin. Would it hold it to Pavliks power though (would Pavliks hold up to Kesslers?)
