Maccarinelli vs. Alexeev for WBO cruiserweight title

Several sources, including the BBC website, are reporting that Alexander Alexeev will face Enzo Maccarinelli for the WBO cruiserweight title, probably on Sep 6.

Originally, there was talk of Alexeev fighting Jonathan Banks for the title vacated by David Haye. But now it looks like Maccarinelli will have a second opportunity to be WBC cruiserweight champion.

How do you all think this fight will go?

I'd say Macca by KO, though the cruiserweight division is pretty weak now Haye is gone.

Enzo will smash him. People have been very hard on him after the Haye fight. The winner of that one was always going to be the guy who landed the first big shots.

It seems like a hard match-up for Macca following the Haye kayo. If this fight gets fought without any tune-up for Macca I'd say it's about 50-50 with an edge to Alexeev.

It's anybodys guess as to how a guy responds after a devastating loss so if there is a tune-up I'll hold back my opinion till it's over.

So I'll assume the fight is next and then I'd put my money on Alexeev.
