When I think of sparring, I think of training... Not seriously trying to rip the other guys head off, thats used for the work on the heavy bag

Don't. You have to perform at your best. The purpose of sparring is to train in action, the heavy bag doesn't hit you back. Practice specific shots, combos and areas of defense...

I don't have chin problems, I don't need to try and rip someones head off during sparring. They should call me the terminator since someone can break there fists on my iron chin.

Basically i began reading repeaded reports in 2005 around january that kermit cintron was sending sparring partners home with broken ribs and just killing people, what ended up happening is him getting folded by margarito in the process, i hear all this stuff about sparring partners getting abused, or someone getting abused by a sparring partner and while its exciting, rarely does it translate into what happens on fight night, which is why i just kind of shy away from these types of press releases.

true, there seems to be this myth coming from some corners about their boxers ripping sparring partners apart...hehe. I don't think u will ever hear a sparring partner saying that he battered the boxer right before a fight

I think he should be looking for ways to neutralize Margarito's style, instead of learning to adapt to his style. Maybe he is, but if he isn't, I see problems.

This is just a product of the intensity that Cotto is bringing into his training. He just doesn't want to win, he wants to look impressive and give Margarito a solid beating.
