You guys have the sparring partner thing all wrong lol. You are there to train. Sparring partners come at you every round for about 8 rounds. There job is to keep you sharp. I've a guy gets busted up, so be it. He is paid to do a job.

scary moment when margarito realizes he doesnt bring enough weapons 2 fight this war;and realizes that his big mouth only made cotto super motivated 4 this chapter in his carreer.his best chance would have been 2 hope cotto would have been overconfident and come under trained like wilfredo gomez when he faced the late salvador sanchez.he trained only for 20days in that fight thinking he was superman.{wonder why sanchez killed himself right before the rematch?}when every fighter trains the very least 8 weeks.anything over 12 weeks can be overtraining.cottos training camp 4 this war has been for 10 weeks,while margaritos been for 8 weeks.in my opinion cottos ready 4 anything mr. one dimensional brings.and just might be tony who runs out of gas with all cottos liver shots,sling shot jabs,presission punching and left hooks.mexicans,instead of talking unrealistic trash;it be better 2 start praying because cottos gonna make vegas look and feel like new yorks puerto rican day parade with roughly around 6,000 islander coming from borinquen and just take a guess how many just from the east coast and in between.while capacity is only 18,000...que viva puerto rico.....miguel representa socio que estamos contigo.

I always thought sparring was about work not trying to knock dudes heads off.

tough sparring without it, its difficult to progress, you can go toe to toe, but if you opponet is hurt you back off and vice versa.

Two greats, Julio Cesar Chavez and Jose Luis Ramierez used to have brutal sparrings. And both have great careers.
