I don't believe he's the Toney we saw from teh first fight against Peter, but it's not like he's facing a world beater, Rachman hasn't looked very good in his fights since being KO'd by Maskaev for the second time. We will see though.

Before the Peter rematch we heard a ton of stuff too, how Toney had did a bunch of roadwork, had got real fit, real sharp etc etc. What happened, he came in and got outworked, outpunched, outhustled, damn he didn't perform one iota like he can. I hope they're right and he's in business, because this really is Last Chance, he's forty this year and only has a couple more in him I feel, maybe he can win this and get Chagaev, he won't get Peter again at least I doubt it, not going 0-2 with the last one conclusiveComment

Toney has (had?) mad skills. I really hate reading a litany of excuses though for each and every loss and poor performance. Come on. Don't blow smoke up my arse. He looked like crap in the 2nd Peter fight and he was gasping. Then for the second time around he tests positive for roids? He is over the hill. We will see for this fight but I am not sure even if he wins if a bout with the Rock at this stage would prove anything.Comment

I'm routing for Toney all the way!! He's one of my favorite fighters.
He has an old school record. Just look at it.

What I fear is it is going to take Toney too many fights if it hasn't already to learn the same lesson. Do we want to see him with full blown pugilistic dementia? I certainly don't. I can see a prime James Toney on ESPN Classic all the time. What will take place on Fox Sports will not be the James Toney you are desiring.Comment

And wouldn't that be great for boxing and the division. Why don't we just have Evander and Toney box it out......? The reason being it is silly. Not only is it silly we know it doesn't help either fighter. THey may get a temporary boost to their bank accounts or child support payments but they put themselves one step closer to the fate of any of the Quarry brothers. I love the sport and I think Toney does too. As has been said many times before for other fighters James needs to see that the Sport no longer loves him.Comment

If Holyfield got a title shot Toney deserves one if he beats Rahman. Too bad he tested positive for some bull****t when he beat Ruiz it would have been really interesting to see what he would have been doing with the title.Comment
