Nice article, but the guy should have never mentioned Cintrón.

True, everyone knows it but Floyd fans are too shallow minded to beleive that as great a boxer as he was there were people who he ducked. Lots of people. especialy at welter

If you look at it objectively, unfortunately alot of really good thai/japanese fighters are unable to secure fights overseas and their competition is usually forced to give into their negotiations and fight them in japan. Think about Wongjongkam, basically he went almost his whole career fighting ONLY in japan and in thailand, including fighting daisuke naito again after knocking him out in 30 seconds, there were alot of decent fights to be made (arce/darchinyan) and they never happened.

Sven Ottke is another one of these types, practically never leaving germany.

yeah I agree, Cintron should not be on that list. but fight fans always see certain matchups differently so I can let it slide.

There hasn't been a fighter who ducked a fighter in years. Sven Ottke not fighting Calzaghe came close, but he didn't duck him. You guys make up this stuff because you are young and not in the know of the sport. Fighters don't duck each other. Money is the sole reason a fight is or isn't made.

The 0's on floyds record are why he ducked people.

Oh, money is the sole reason?
Is that why Marquez fought Chris John in Indonesia for $30,000,
instead of facing Pacquiao for $750,000? Come on....

He did that under the advise of nacho beristain and its been proven that it was a terrible move, beristain is also his manager. and alot of it had to do with

                      *bingo

                      MONEY.

Marquez and his team said they were promised a million, they didint get it, so they held off.
