Please, this guy isn't retiring. At least not before he cashes out by using his name to get a nice payday against a top opponent. An empty threat if I've ever heard one.

anyway, it's Chavez Sr's fault for not having his son in at least the amateurs!
He has mad money there is no excuse why his son didn't have any AM experience going pro.
Who knows what he could have been? AM experience works wonders!
I really feel bad for dude for having to walk in his dads shadow but dude sucks...

Good stuff........I know many Mexican's turn pro very very young but Junior had the luxury of not having to help put food on the table. I wonder how different he could've been.

Other thing is that they put this pressure on themselves. Jr was showcased in many PPV undercards and even headlined one himself. That what fighters do when they are a finished product not when they are still early works in progress. When I'm shelling out $50-$60 I a live fight not a tune-up pseudo amateur fight.

Arce-Hussein was a PPV undercard I was happy to pay for Jr vs ????? tomatoe can was not.

If Chavez Jr stayed fighting on "free" hbo-showtime events and not ppv events then I think fans would have lower expectations. But being a PPV fighter are the fans expectations that unwarranted?

Oh come on everyone is blowing this way out of proportion. JCC Jr. is only 22 with no amatuer fights! Big deal he had a tough fight, and won a close decision. Everyone has tough fights, this doesnt mean hes finished. And everyone needs to stop rushing this kid and acting like hes his daddy, cause he isnt.

I mentioned this before, the kid needs to retire. He's an embarrassment to the sport.

Are we rushing him or is he being stuff down our throats in PPV undercard after PPV undercard after PPV Headliner?

I think that fight would be an excellent measuring stick fight for Chavez. If he can't get through Camacho, then he should hang them up.

It's a good fight for Chavez because it's unlikely Camacho can KO but it's still a marketable fight given the name recognition.
