Joe Louis. No titlist let alone unified champion will ever surpass his 25 defenes of the title in my opinion. Greatest finisher ever.

I disagree. Ali is more popular NOW. Joe Louis was universally loved in his day. Ali wasn't loved till he came back and lost to Frazier in 1971. It was then that the skeptics realized he was more than just a loud mouth, but had true fighting heart.
