He obviously said Tony Thompson because the guy just fought for the title and that name came to mind. He could've replaced the name "Tony Thompson" with any other HW name and still been correct. I thought all of this goes without saying but some of you guys are quick to judge and start arguments over nothing.

p.s Whoever first threw around the word "Xenophobic" on here should be shot for handing every idiot hell bent on defending non-american boxers a buzz word to use whenever they feel appropriate.

The Heavyweight division was once the highlight division of the sport, but I would say after Lennox left it turned to ****.

I can care less whether the champs are European or American, they're trash across the board. Heavyweight fights call for drama and action...something I haven't seen in a heavyweight fight in God knows how long.

Have you READ the post he made? It CLEARLY specifies Reed's regard as the division as being American-based.

I've got nothing against Reed at all, but it seemed a bit blinkered. If he wanted to say ALL heavies are ****, then fair enough.

But he CLEARLY specified American heavies in a thread about the entire division as if the US contigent was the be all and end all.

Funny stuff, but in all seriousness it was Audley (as a gold medallist who has skill, but no heart or chin) and now it's Haye. Danny or Matt were never really first tier, I'm sad to admit.

I can't second that. It's true that the American side hasn't come with **** as of late, but I'm actually pretty excited to see Valuev and Wlad go at it. This fight WILL BE HUGE IN EUROPE. So to say the whole division is weak is a bit too much
