Klitschko just isnt the same as when he first came onto the scene, he used to be relentless when it came to offense, he didnt worry about getting hit, back when he was an up and coming contender, he was 70% offense 30% defense, he would throw a variety of punches, he was real good to watch.
But now.. He is too cautious, he is scared to throw more than 3 punches at once, all he does now is use his strength and his reach with a jab, a right hand, then clinch, even when he hurts the guy he clinches! where is the killer instinct with finishing the man off? When Klitschko is hit on the head with a punch he panics, he quickly tries to grab onto his opponent, he doesnt show heart.
2 out of the 3 times Klitschko has been stopped he was stopped by quick powerful punchers who can fire missiles from the inside (Brewster, Sanders). David Haye has more power and speed than both of these guys, and he is way more technically sound, Haye has very quick footwork which enables him to close up gaps quicker than most, and he can fire power punches from all angles, Haye has the height, and he will have the weight to compete with Klitschko, carrying his handspeed, footwork and agility upto HW wont be a problem as he has to Nov to slowly build up muscle (not fat, like most cruisers coming up!) which will probably make him even quicker.
To beat Klitschko, all Haye has to do is work on keeping his hands up in close (the left hand up high). I see Haye KO'ing Klitschko up close, by using his quick footwork to close the gap from the outside, he will rock Klitschko with uppercuts and hooks as Klitschko desperately tries to clinch (clinching should be banned from boxing) before finishing Klitschko off with missile straight rights against the ropes, in the same manner Haye stopped Maccarinelli!
Haye will be the saviour of heavyweight boxing, destroying countless overweight plodding pretenders in the process, bringing an exciting style to HW, nice quick hands, footwork, agility and a KO punch, he will also bring charisma and showmanship to the division, unlike these 3 word's a sentence robots.
