oscar is the potential prize.

honestly- oscar vs. cotto or margarito would have my attention. cotto especially would make a great fight.

and oscar could still outbox and probably ring tony's bell a couple times too. but i'd be surprised if oscar fights margarito.

i want to see cotto and mayweather as much as anyone else does- it's the most significant fight that can happen right now. but lets be real for a second... if it's oscar and not floyd- at least we'll have an actual fight on our hands.

oscar is dying to get a blood and guts battle on his resume before he hangs up the gloves- he's said that in interviews and he knows he needs a signature war like that to retire as an all time great. his popularity is one thing- but his actual claim to greatness is called into question by many people, and oscar knows it.

Margarito has been calling out Mayweather for years, im sure he knows he'll never get that fight, and considering losses to Santos, even if hes the best welterweight in the worldm those losses probably give Floyd some right to say Margarito doesnt deserve a fight. But as said before, the real prize is Oscar. Cotto versus Oscar is huge, and with Margarito being an ex sparring partner Im sure HBO can make that huge as well, so after a win Oscar will probably be the first name they mention.
