Joe Calzaghe: "Roy Jones Fight is Tougher Than Hopkins"

Hmm... look, we all know Calzaghe struggled with Hopkins. He was made to look like a rank amatuer throughout much of the first half of the fight, missing, wading in, getting nailed with counters, not to mention dropped; he did pull out the W, but my no means was it easy for him, he had to dig deep and keep working because he knew if the tempo dropped Bernard had him on skill, precise punching and craftiness. Calzaghes legs won him the fight. Against Roy, well we all know Roy is a scared fighter, he is terrified of the KO and that'll cripple him against Joe. He's gonna whirl off some combos now and again but with Calzaghe steaming at him he's gonna be timid Roy, retreating to the ropes, lolling back, waiting, waiting, waiting....while Joe wins rounds.

I think it will prove that the Hopkins fight was much tougher

Also I think ONE of the main reasons he took this fight other than money was because Jones is NOT scared of the punches Joe will throw.... when has JOE KNOCKED SOMEONE OUT.... let alone DOWN?????????????????????

Doesn't matter about whether he's a puncher or not, Glen Johnson was hardly Mr. Ko and Roy fought like Glen had gonnorea splayed on his gloves, he also showed glimpses of fear against ****ing Hanshaw, you dumb Roy nuthuggers

I find it interesting how Roy Jones Jr. was the best fighter from 160-175, probably of all-time, he then loses some fights when he's 35, and then people have nothing but bad things to say about him. He has got to be the only fighter in history to make it that long without a loss while relying so much on speed. (The DQ definitely doesn't count)

And for those who forgot, he beat Tarver the first time...after taking a 25 pound weight drain to come down from heavyweight.
