So who is David Haye going to fight?

David Haye is like a dog that barks a lot but doesn't bite.

He's talks about how Wladimir is tailor-made for him. He tells us he's going to unify the heavyweight division.

But why doesn't he take a fight with a heavyweight? He last fought in early March - most other high profile boxers who fought around that time already have fights scheduled. Wlad fought in February and again in July, and will fight Povetkin in November.

Haye says he needs to wait until November to fight again - more than eight months after his last fight. But who is he going to fight then? Shouldn't he have an opponent chosen by now?

If Haye is serious about becoming heavyweight champion, he should have a fight scheduled for no later than Sep 30. I think his bark is worse than his bite!

Maskaev took another fight. There's not a lot of options out there if he wants a legit name opponent. I know Brewster has a "TBA" coming up 8/30; I don't think the money will be there for that event, though, in that venue with a local undercard to get Haye on board. Maybe he needs to take that Monte Barrett call-out seriously and start negotiating...

Monte Barrett would be a very good first opponent - he's the ideal gatekeeper for the division.

Haye said he wanted time to build into the weight class and add extra weight slowly so he does not lose his speed.

Golota is another ideal first opponent for Haye - it would be great while it lasted!

Meehan and Chambers are available too.

Oh wow, David Haye-Andrew Golota would be a good fight to hype also.

I think it'll probably be the winner of Toney-Rahman 2, he'd prefer it be Rahman because Rahman is ranked in the WBC & IBF.

Chambers would be a terrible opponent for Haye. Even if by some miracle Haye were able to pull it off, it would be an ugly fight. Chambers is probably the only top HW out there that can match Haye for speed, difference being Eddie has faaaaaaaaaaaaaar superior defense and chin.
