PAUL WILLIAMS vs KELLY PAVLIK could be very interesting...

I was originally FIRMLY against this fight, and am still very skeptical, but I'll say this now. If Paul Williams weighs in at 160 pounds and looks cut... It'll be a good fight.

If he comes in a little flabby like i originally thought he would, then he'll get destroyed in a round.

But im just hearing now that Williams has fought at 160 a bunch of times and has scored some convincing KO's over guys that went up to 168.

I mean, Williams to me presents a style that would be very difficult to beat for Pavlik... but Williams would seem so frail in comparison... however, if he could rid of that disadvantage by filling out... im just saying, it could be a tough fight for Pavlik.

I don't understand the move on Williams' part though, i think its a ****** ****** move. He has only 2.5 months to get his body up to 160 to where he is very comfortable. I'm sure its very possible, but if you do it wrong you could just end up getting KO'd

And considering he says he can go down to 140... i mean, he could make a looooooooot of money were he is right now.

Idk. Hopefully its at the boardwalk so i can go. It could be a very interesting fight but... it depends on a lot things u know...

Williams either has a very big head or is looking to cash out since 147 is depleting and 154 doesn't have any money fights either

I don't think Williams could be flabby if you put a body suit on him.

I was originally against this fight to begin with as well, but Williams has that frame that can put on that weight pretty good. Plus Williams throws a ton of punches and is long which could cause some problems. So with both guys throwing punches in bunches the fight should be exciting. Im still thinking Pavlik is going to win, but I think the fight will be competitive.

Lol. Paul ain't beatin Pavlik at 160. He'd be a fool to jump up from 147 to 160 IMO and then soon go bac down. I'd rather Paul fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito or Judah/Clottey

It should be this at 147...
          Cotto/ Margarito vs Paul Williams
          Clottey/Judah vs Andre Berto

Idk who else Pavlik can fight...

It could become a pretty good fight but I can't see Williams winning, he gets hit by punches over the top at welterweight when opponents need to punch upwards to get to him losing speed and snap on their punches, Pavlik won't have to punch up.

Pavlik-Abraham could be a solid fight, Pavlik-Taylor, Pavlik-Kessler... fighting a welterweight does no good for him, unless he's just looking to pad his bankbook, but Williams isn't even that big of a name... not yet anyway - and this going up to 160 could be a career turning point for Paul...

wouldn't be the same without the ol' 'kball defends the opponent' thread. I'm still chuckling about how you told us Gary Lockett could give Pavlik a good, tough fight. oh well, nothing wrong with setting in some excuses ahead of time I guess. still, if Pavlik loses to Williams, that is going to completely ruin Kelly's career

I dont know what will happen to paul next if he gets destroyed by pavlick. team williams would've at least tried considering a tune up fight at that weight prior to this. He also could've make more money at his current weight rather than fighting pavlick right away. whichever good luck to him.
