It's Ricky's best performance since he held and hit much less than he usually does. But he's in against Tackie who just got dropped by SHARMBA MITCHELL in his last fight. It's not that impressive.

Keep in mind, i am not dissing hatton, but come on, you cant use this fight as a template to what "would have happened" because it doesnt matter. he should have and could have fought mayweather when he was supposedly so much more skilled and at 140, but they chose not to and him and his team know why. there is no need to even speculate, hatton would likely get beat worse at 140 as mayweather was fast, opened up even more and had more power.
but you can compare THAT hatton with THIS hatton when you talk about his last fight with lazcano...

      he clearly was winning...

but a prime hatton would have ko'd him in 4 or better and never been rocked by a fighter like lazcano who faded out of his prime.

      i been telling you all...

      paulie will win against hatton.

This is 100% the truth.Mayweather flurished in the lower weightclasses.Take a look at what he did to Gatti at 140,I know Hatton is a class above Gatti, but that beating was immense. Why do you think Hattons team declined the offer Mayweather made to fight him at 140?

Malignaggi is not a good fighter. I don't understand him at all. Everytime I watch him, people talk about how he's not as sharp as he usually is. Well, when has he EVER looked sharp? I saw him box well one time and that was the first NDou fight. He's looked pretty bad in his last two fights. I don't understand where the master boxer label comes from because he is far from it.

Hatton was done and slowing even when he met Kostya.
                Frank Warren wasted his prime.
And Ricky made sure his Prime didn't last with his lifestyle.

                  True that.

He changed his style against Kostya and never changed back. Which turned him into the run forward clinch and hit fighter we have today. T'is a real shame

of course Hatton would look good against opposition like Tackie, Hatton had a genius promoter in Frank warren at the time, He never allow Hatton to fight Boxer/Mover he alway ships in boxers who are flat-footed for Hatton to beat on which made for good TV and increase Hattons popularity.

Hatton never faced a boxer/mover until he fought collazo(a fight his trainer refuse to sanctioned) and we all know what happened there.
