Best news I've heard today!! I feel bad for my homeboy Valero though, hopefully he'll get his shot soon.

He wouldn't even last as long as Diaz

Anyway, sounds like a bit of a bull**** story from Arum. How long can it possibly take to get medical records reviewed? The fight isn't until November for crying out loud! They could have that stuff taken care within the week and yet "..due to the medical records not being reviewed.."? Give us a break! What a load of crap.

Soto is basically no different than Diaz. He is a slow, winging, hooking inside fighter. The fight would be no different than Pac vs Diaz. How pointless and disappointing a fight. At least with Valero there was a chance of fireworks. Soto would simply be out-sped and out-boxed. He was owned by Guzman recently enough so why not wait that extra few days and get the review sped up and then make that fight? God damn it! Sounds like Pac is going the Mayweather route in the latter half of his career just when he needs to be going all the good fights.
A very good post. Someone sees what is going on lol.

this really sums it up for anyone reading this thread. You place too high a premium on Valero being undefeated and the fact that you think Pac not fighting Valero makes him a chump is Proof you have no idea what you're talking about. Soto is the harder fight. You want him to take the easier fight? Get it together.

This is a good fight and i thought this should have been the plan all along since they are both Top Rank guys. This still is not a PPV main event though.
It should be an entertaining fight but as we saw in the Guzman fight Soto does have some issues with speedier guys. Although it should be a more entertaining fight then Guzman-Soto, i do not know if Soto has the speed, boxing ability or even the power to truly trouble Pacquiao

I still remember the Soto-Guzman fight and Bob Arum's diatribe about Guzman's style, I always knew Soto would get a shot at Pacquiao before Guzman.

you obviously haven't seen many guzman fights if you label him a "***** running fighter." Educate yourself and watch some fights homie

the only time you can really say that is against Soto, but that was the last three rounds where guzman was well ahead on the scorecards and went on cruise control just boxing from the outside and not fighting inside which was unnecessary being that he was so far ahead.

Look, my Christmas list was for Pac to fight either Valero or Guzman. I know he won't fight both. All he has to do for me is beat Valero and I wouldn't have anything to say about the man. I want to see Pac in danger, not a fight where I have to pay $49.99 for a fight where we are asking, "what round is Pac going to ko the other guy in".

I'm guessing this will have to be at Lightweight, I can't see Manny going down in weight to take the fight now that he has made the breakthrough to the higher weight.

I'm glad Soto gets his chance at a massive fight like this after he was robbed at his last match.

                    Still, Manny to win.
