Manny Pacquiao To Face Humberto Soto on November 15

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says that rather than get delayed over obtaining the medical clearance of WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, he plans to pit Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao against Humberto Soto (47-7-2, 28 KO's) at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on November 15. This is a better matchup than Pacquiao-Valero.

Definitely better than Pacquiao-Valero and also proof that Guzman is already a viable contender. Should he get past Campbell, Pac should take the fight.

Not the fight everyone was expecting but it's going to be a good one. Soto is very aggressive and he is going to go out on his shield. Pac probably takes him out late but I'll be rooting for Soto all the way.

He's been in and beat much better comp than the untested Valero. That said, I was really looking forward to Manny annihilating Valero.
Get ready for some of the Valero supporters to claim Manny is ducking him now.

you're right that it will probably be a more entertaining fight, but it doesn't prove much imo since Guzman already proved he was the far superior fighter than Soto. At least with Valero there was a bit of an unknown, since he's been untested.

As far as this fight goes Soto has a good chin so I suspect a 12 round wide decision for pacman.

If they're forcin Soto up to lightweight, thats gonna be ****ed up for Humberto. But reguardless, this is a better match up then one with Valero.
