Kelly Pavlik vs. Paul Williams - Deal Reached For 9/27?

This will not go down well for Williams. I don't think he will have a problem making weight, but how well will he carry his speed and power at 160?.....and going straight in against the number 1 is a deathwish.

What is he or his team thinking?

I think it will be a good fight. There are a lot of 'ifs', like if he can carry the weight, if he won't be weak, if he can take Pavlik's punch, etc, but I don't see any reason that those things can't happen.

If he boxes the way he did against Margarito I give Williams a very good chance.

It could. But it's not like Williams life is depending on a fight with Cotto honestly. He can move up whether he is unsuccessful or not is another discussion. Williams has options.
