I did in no way predict AA winning a potential fight against pavlik. You said european fighters have to prove something before they can get a shot at the top guy. And you were hinting that AA hasn't proven anything. LOL Which I am sure I proved that he is the most worthy opponent for Pavlik and he has proven his heart and skill more than any other chump Arum is putting in front of Pavlik. Just for the record I was born and rasied in USA, and I agree with you about MOST european fighters, but not AA. He came to america, with a HIGH HIGH risk fight for a LOW reward and he proved he's the guy Pavlik has to beat before being crowned Middleweight GOD

Agreed. I was actually hinting more towards Joe Calzaghe back in the mid 90's when JONES was P4P king and Calzaghe was NOWHERE to be found let alone heard of. When it all came down to it... Jones was P4P TOP and if JOE CALZAGHE back then wanted to prove that HE was anything other than a back yard champ. HE was the one that should have came over and TOOK the P4P stat from Jones. That's actually what I was getting at in that first post....

Well I can't argue with whats right, I agree. Because back then they were both in their prime, and in their prime Calz doesn't past the 6th round.

Pavlik will look so overrated if he doesn't knock a guy out who was getting hurt by welter-weight margarito. Not to say marg don't hit hard at times, but still Williams is not used to fighting at this weight class and should be able to get knocked the **** out.

You keep saying this as if it were so, when all evidence is indeed to the contrary. He stated multiple times prior to the Hops fight that he preferred Pavlik over Jones for his next bout.

Ok, carry....just kept reading you say that and had to jump in.

Whats krissilver smoking? Calzaghes ****? We all know that Calzaghe preffered Pavlik over Jones because he even cracked jokes on Roy saying roys a shadow of his forming self and **** like that too.

yes IN FACT.... Joe has said he would FIGHT BOTH JONES and PAVLIK... He just said he would fight KELLY PAVLIK up until he destroyed his daddy's fighter lockett (why the hell that fight happened is beyond me).... made a disgrace of him... sad. I hope that POS retires too, we don't **** fighters like that in boxing... Anyway to joe's defense, I believe he will stick to his word and fight PAV regardless of the outcome with Jones.. Too much money involved....

I know, KRISSY wont listen to me. lol... I keep telling him like a broken record that Joe and his people have said mixed things in different interviews.... it wasn't up until AFTER Pavlik destroyed Lockett did anything REALLLLLLLLY go down. I bet if Pav would have won a 12 UD. Joe would have been up PAV's ass like a **** that he is... but since Lockett got KTFO, he was like I'll fight the legend Roy Jones Jr. He's a legit champ right now.. But I believe the fight will still take place later next year.

This is a quote from Calzaghes biography in which he said there is no point in fighting Jones as he is damaged goods. Now he is a legend and a good opponent to match his skills with:wank:

"Although Jones Jnr is still active, I would never want to fight him now. He's not the same fighter and I'd have nothing to gain by beating a shadow of what he once was. Jones was a great fighter in his day and a great name, but he's been knocked out twice, knocked out cold. What would I have to gain by knocking him out for a third time?"

I also believe joe calzaghe will eat every last word that he spoke about Jones too.. Especially Jones left counter hooks when joe goes to flurry....
