This may be true. He was brought to the title and held onto through some dubiously fixed fights, yet I've always beleived he won it legit when he ko'd Sharkey. The fight is on you tube and it looks on the level. Sharkey widdow also said the fight was on the level and here husband would have never thrown a fight.
