Nate Campbell - If he beats Guzman as well as Diaz (two undefeated fighters knocked off in same year)
Roy Jones - If he beats Joe Calzaghe.
Joe Calzaghe - If he beats Bernard Hopkins and then Roy Jones.
Antonio Margarito - If he beats Cintron and Cotto

So far has to be Pacquiao, a win against Marquez then a step up in weight and an impressive domination of David Diaz. Two titles at two weights and only half the year gone...

In a couple of weeks it will be Cotto when he beats Margarito and he'll seal deal in december if he faces DHL.

It's very difficult as so many of the guys status depends on fights coming up. Right now I think I would probably say Campbell with the huge upset win over Diaz for the unified lightweight titles. Calzaghe is also a frontrunner moving up in weight to defeat the Ring Magazine LHW champion. Pac is also up there though his controversial 'win' over Marquez wasn't good enough to put him up with the best wins so far, with so many people dis*****g it. Still, a bit too hard to say this early.

Not just Yet only because of the possibility of Cotto Beating Margarito in July and De La Hoya in December. Which would make a strong case and a lasting impression being that he would be involved in the last big fight of the year.

There's also a possibility of Pavlik ending the year with wins over Jermain Taylor, John Duddy and maybe Paul Williams which could be a strong case it just depends on Pavlik's next opponent.

But if there was Fighter of the First half of the Yr. hands down Pacquiao Would get and I wont rule him out though he will definitely be in the mix and is in the lead as of today.

                Floyd Mayweather.
And yes, I'm aware that he hasn't even fought.

But many people also had Hopkins winning over Calzaghe.. Not only that he got knock down by a 44 year old man in round 1.

Cotto will win but not in dominant fashion.. Most likely SD or a close UD..
