Now the time is upon us, and the same people who are so happy he's out of the P4P lists are now faced with a serious dilemma.

Jones has a good chance at beating the number 2 P4P fighter in the sport.

(^hahahahahaha@ the #2 rating I'd never believe that myself)

I mean according to them.......Calzaghe is the second best fighter no?

Semi, why is it so outrageous and funny to you that Calzaghe could be rated #2 P4P when you had Jeff "LOL" Lacy in the top ten after beating Scott "old and there for the payday" Pemberton? I don't get your logic, brother.

That's really the only major factor to me. He looked just flat out terrible against Hopkins..........and if he's that slow footed at that weight he's going to get easily outclassed en route to a beating.
The list of fighter's who looked good against Hopkins is big isn't it? Calzaghe getting a beating from a modern Jones is just fan boy excitement, i expect better from a BS veteran.

Lacy was P4P material prior to fighting Calzaghe.

                End of story.

Nobody knew how green he was, including you. lol I definitely don't remember you talking it up about how Cal was going to win.

My prediction was Calzaghe 115-113, possibly by controversial means. I obviously had no idea it would be one of the biggest one-sided ass pwnages in history, but I wasn't sold on Lacy.

Why? Because I saw him swinging wildly against Pemberton, missing constantly and being wide open to counters - a fact even my 70 year old aunt noticed - and then saw a washed up Pemberton take a dive. Okay, he was decked, but he could have got back up.

Then I come on here and read about how he was the second coming of Tyson. wtf????

And if Lacy was P4P for THAT, then why isn't Joe P4P for the one sided ass pwnage?

What the hell does that fight have to do with this prospect?

I think you're jumping a gun here. I never once claimed that Calzaghe wasn't P4P material. I just would never call him the #2 guy surpassing everyone else like Wright and the Marquez brothers.

Calzaghe beating Lacy put him in the top ten. Didn't it?

I thought most were in agreement about that.

Yes, but then he beat Manfredo which pushed him to the top......
