And one more thing, I LIKE Joe Calzaghe. I like how he taunts, how he **** talks, how he gigs and showboats and how he fights. I think he is a remarkable boxer.

But I won't give him anything he hasn't deserved either. Listen, I fully understand Joe, you don't want to retire from boxing brain dead and broke. Who the **** would want to? But if you are going to be careful about your career, and stay away from the top competition in American your entire life, waiting to strike your last hurrah and collect a huge payday, DO NOT EXPECT TO BE HANDED ATG OR EVEN HOF STATUS.

Those places are reserved for fighters who came from nothing and spent their entire life committed to fighting to the death against those most deserving. Those places are for the fighters that went out of their way to prove to the world what they had inside of the ring. Joe sat on his belt overseas and looked for an attractive exit from the sport, and now he has it.

And stop making excuses for Kessler, the guy is nothing. I don't see anyone making excuses for Arthur Abraham. He came into his own in the sport and is made a statement by taking a rematch against a man who broke his jaw and doing it in his hometown. Thats a boxer deserving of praise. Kessler backed out of the fight with Miranda and continues to march his bum parade forward with the everlasting excuse "but its my mandatory". The belt isn't worth anything, thats why so many worthless boxers keep stepping up to take it.
