I'll go with Dawson and Johnson I think. I wasn't terribly impressed with Diaconu last time out.

Not a bad card at all. I think Tarver has a much better shot at beating Dawson now that Floyd Sr. isn't in Dawson's corner. I'm leaning towards Tarvr more now than before. Still am uncertain who to pick though.

Television sources tell ******************.com that Showtime is finally getting what it wants with the 175-pounders and that is a showdown between Antonio “Magic Man” Tarver and the much younger Bad Chad Dawson.

The working date is October 18 and it could be signed and sealed before the day is over.

******************.com tried, without success, to reach promoter Big Gary Shaw. It’s know that Big Gar was working and working on Tarver to get him to face Dawson. It seems that Tarver is finally convinced this the best opportunity on the table right now.

And as for a working trip to Romania, Dawson will have to forego that and his mandatory WBC title bout against local hero Adrian Diuaconu. Dawson-Diaconu was supposed to have happened on Showtime last year in Sacramentu but Diaconu pulled out with an injury.

They need to stop the moaning and groaning in Bucharest. Diaconu gets the WBC title handed to him on a silver platter and now a guy everybody likes, Glen “Road Warrior” Johnson, will fight the Romanian.

As his nickname implies, Johnson is probably checking his passport status and maybe packing his suitcases even now.

Johnson is not afraid of any bloodsucking vampires.

Excellent. Good reporting Bat. I'll be looking for anyone wanting to bet on Tarver straight up.

diacanu is gonna get ko'd. johnson and him have the same type of style but glen does it better and has a better chin. dawson should be able to win a decision against tarver.

Diaconu's match will be in Romania, while Dawson's match will be televised on Showtime. The winner of both matches will probably face each other in a unification bout (IBF and WBC title) sometime in February next year. My prediction is Johnson will beat Diaconu and Dawson will beat Tarver.

I don't get the hate on Tarver on this site and never have. The guy has great skills and some big power when he steps into his punches.
He's never been ko'ed and fought a lot of good people.

He's just getting older and takes rounds off but I don't think he's shot by a long shot.
Also, Tarver hits harder than Johnson so that's another factor to consider.
You get hit hard early and may get discouraged and not do the things you normally do.
Plus Tarver-Dawson is lefty versus lefty so whoever adjusts better can make it an early night.

I like all the matchups and possibilities for light heavy at this point.

Johnson will beat Diaconu and Dawson will beat Tarver IMO. When you seen what Chris Henry was able to do to Diaconu, then you would know that Johnson beating him is a no brainer. I see Dawson using his sepeior hand speed and foot speed to box Tarver to a decision. Dawson and Johnson should have a rematch in the begining of next year and unify the titles.

If Dawson is obviously fighting the winner of Johnson/Diaconu, then why are people still bitching? Chad wants Taver becuase that has been his dream fight for many years. He is going to fight the best. If Diaconu were to get past Johnson, then he would have no problem fighting him and unifying the belts.

Nice I wanted to see Dawson fight Tarver and hopefully this comes true. I think he can pull out a victory against Tarver, while Johnson pulls one out against Diaconu and then they can have a rematch. Who knows though Johnson has been known to be on the short end when it comes to decisions. So that might happen to him in Romania.
