Exactly. Like I said, why would Arum make an offer or draw up a contract that he knows Floyd won't sign? He could do the old publicity stunt that promoters have done for years and offer a ridiculous amount in the press or on the internet to make Mayweather look bad. At least he didn't go there. Like you said (or implied), there will be a fight when Floyd wants one. This "calling him out" **** is nothing but blowing smoke.

Margarito called Floyd out to no end. He even crashed one of Floyd's press conferences and asked Floyd to his face "why wont u fight me" What did that get Tony? Banned from all of Floyd's future press conferences! LOL. Calling him out dont work.

No, calling him out without anything to offer won't work. Floyd wanted big fights, he didn't want a guy who beat a scared Cintron. When Floyd saw Clottey beat up Margs when he lost, he said, damn...the guy isn't bullet proof like his fans thought. lol

The thing is, fighters call each other out all the time. Now I like Margs, but if you ask Margs, dlh, floyd, shane judah all ducked him. Ducking is when you HAVE to fight someone, and you don't. Floyd DIDN'T have to fight Margs. He was never a mandatory. Plus, there is bad blood between Floyd and Arum. Floyd did say he would meet Margs down the line possibly. Floyd did say after the fight with hatton on espn that cotto is a very good fighter, but he knows he can't beat me. He also said all Cotto had to do is speak to his people or something to that effect and it can happen. Then we get the infamous "fan base" comment on espn2 Friday night fights. TBO, I think that Floyd is waiting for the top guys to distance himself from the pack. I think that is the way many of us feel, even Floyd's critics. Nobody believes he is retired except for slobs and fanatics.

Boxing matches aren't made by who calls who out. They are made by public demand and by earning them. This tactic of defense by Floyd's loyal fans is just pathetic. If you don't fight the top contenders in your division, you are ducking them.

Exactly, and since those top contenders were given his titles, you really don't know who the top contenders are. Had we had a legit top 10, fights could've ben made. Floyd saw the lunacy in the titles being spread out, he saw 130 all over again. Floyd wants big fights nothing less.

Just wondering with Cotto/Mayweather, many say Floyd ducked, but if a guy never utters your name is it ducking? If a fighter never says another's name for all that other fighter knows, could be that the guy doesnt want to fight him, isnt thinking about him, isnt ready to fight him, and or doesnt want to fight him, but I just dont see how you can duck someone who never says your name, what do you guys think?

Cotto didnt push for the Mosley or Margarito fights either. Does that mean he didnt want to fight them either? I could understand if Cotto had a history of calling boxers out, and when i came to Floyd, he kept his mouth shut, but thats not the case. Cotto has NEVER called anyone out.

Ducked? maybe not. Avoided? Yes. When the entire boxing community is calling for that fight, and u come up with 101 excuses for which not to fight him, then what would u call that?

Nobody was calling for that fight except diehard fans and anyone Arum could convince that Margs was legit. The public didn't even know Margs. Boxing diehards wanted that fight.

Floyd's days of beating 2-3 guys in the top 10 are over. He is what 31 or 32 now. When you get to his stage, like any, and I mean ANY elite fighter, he can hand pick his big fights. If Margs somehow comes out of this, Cotto or williams, Floyd would not hesitate to make a fight with them. Of course slobs and critics wil point to his past excuses. His beating 2 and 3 top 10 fighters in one division are over. O-VER!
