Boxing matches aren't made by who calls who out. They are made by public demand and by earning them. This tactic of defense by Floyd's loyal fans is just pathetic. If you don't fight the top contenders in your division, you are ducking them.

I wouldn't say Floyd ducked Cotto. But at the same time, he never persued a fight at 147 with him. And when others have asked about the fight he has usually ducked the question or not really answered it..

How did Cotto get fights with Mosley, Margo, Malignaggi, etc..then. He never called them out, yet those fights got made. Since when is mentioning a fighters name the only way of making the fight?

He would also say, I fight anyone. Or, Ask Arum.

Mayweather is seasoning Cotto for the time being. He'll eat Cotto when the time is right. The time will be right IF, Cotto gets past Margarito and DLH. Too bad, people can't understand that. And yes I agree with what you just said, In Mayweather's mind, Cotto doesn't want to fight him because Cotto isn't pushing for this fight.

Cotto is too militant. I don't think we will ever see him out of character like that.

Cotto didnt push for the Mosley or Margarito fights either. Does that mean he didnt want to fight them either? I could understand if Cotto had a history of calling boxers out, and when i came to Floyd, he kept his mouth shut, but thats not the case. Cotto has NEVER called anyone out.

The reasoning for Floyd fans is since Ricky Hatton called Money out after he beat Castillo and Floyd told his butt-waxer Ellerbe to "Make the ****ing fight happen" they automatically assume that is the case for every fighter. Pathetic isn't it?

Oh by the way, not to sound like a broken record but how many times did Tony call out Money and offered him a career high pay day of $8Mill to fight him? and how did that end up for Tony?
