Haha yeah, good bull****ter. He is a genuine nice guy and humble, which people admire....but his stuff about 'for the fans' is a bit worn out. Maybe it is cheaper in Vegas....maybe it is a nice time for the fans more so then NY BUT....his probably getting paid more fighting in Vegas, which was the main reason for him picking there....himself first then some good PR.

This fight should be in New York, Madison Square Garden... In Vegas it's only 1/2 as big as it would be in New York.....Malignaggi has a ton of fans here but we aren't gonna fly to Vegas lol. I'd be soo there at MSG.....

It was Hatton's camp's decision to make the fight in Vegas... everybody knows that Malignaggi would choose NYC in a split second. That leads me to believe that Ricky's not fighting for pride anymore, for the paycheck.

He oculd have put it a way like 'Financially, i couldnt turn down Vegas...i love fighting here too' just something like that. But he says this about the fans, good PR, keeps all Hatton fans thinking he is a saint (as stated) and makes them feel guilty if they dont go. It keeps 20,000 fans that will go out there sweet and still singing 'Theres only one....'

But like you said, it is what it is..money over fans. His fans shouldnt wanna complain when his done 'so much' for his fans.

wow, strong words playa! I wouldnt say Hatton will be embarassed (I mean it cant get any worse after what PBF did to him), I have Malignaggi winning because I think he will out-box Hatton. If Malignaggi gets careless. Hatton is bound to KO him. But again I see Hatton loosing to a Split or UD.

Hatton's father was actually quoted as saying that he WAS looking for the best financial deal for his son after the money he sacrificed for his homecoming. But at the end of the day, if the fans are getting a cheaper deal for Vegas as well, they're gonna play on that.

If he came out and became Ricky "Money" Hatton, he'd be criticised even more for being a flash arrogant ****. So its really a no-win situation.
