That sounds reasonable. Of course based on accomplishments Ruiz clearly stands out.

      Right now, Thompson.

If Arreola becomes the first to stop Tua, then I'd rate him as the best.

We'll know more about Thompson on Saturday.
McCline can put almost anybody down in the early rounds, it just depends on which McCline shows up.

I'd like to see a guy like Travis Walker emerge as a significant player in the heavyweight division. He brings a lot of excitement but his one-dimensional style will only carry him so far.

Eddie Chambers has a lot to prove after the Povetkin fight. I had high expectations of him, though his relative diminutive size would always be a disadvantage against the very elite. He would own the cruiserweights.

Right now you'd have to say that Thompson is the most accomplished of American heavyweights.

I've always felt McCline was so strong that no one could give him trouble if he decided to go out there and just try to decapitate them. He is so strong and huge it's ridiculous. His only problem is that he is so big and wants to be a counterpuncher and he doesn't have good finishing skills.

You know as much as I dislike Ruiz's fighting style, he's fought a ton of good guys and won some of them and lost some close decisions.

I'd have to say Ruiz as far as accomplishments. Arreola and the others are unproven.
I just don't know how Thompson's win over Krasniqi should be rated. And Timor Ibragimov was very overrated for a while.

I think he is, he is the type of a fighter who can give any other heavy in the division problems.

I suppose, but it is more by default than anything else.

Should Tony Thompson fight John Ruiz to decide who is the best American heavyweight?
