Mayweather has a good chin, he has taken a few good shots but to be fair it hasn't really been tested. he's too hard to hit.

I agree that the Judah fight is probably the best example of Floyd having a good chin, but I'm still not sure that it can be called great.

Another thing is I don't understand some of the logic on here. I'm not saying that you have said this but some posters will point to the Corley fight with Cotto as an example of Cotto's weak chin while you're using it as an example of Mayweather's great chin. I just think all this stuff is subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Also, take a guy like Tommy Hearns who is widely considerd to have a weak chin. Yet it took 2.5 rds of Hagler's best shots to put him away.

Has Mayweather ever take anything close to punishment like that?

I guess my point is even boxers with suspect chins can take a few clean shots without getting put down.

He had an "ok" chin. I wouldn't call it great though.

And oh!.. Zab knocked him down.

It's hard to say just how good it was because his defense was so tight, but it was definitely solid.

They weren't able to follow up because even after gettin' hit with some hard ass punches, those shots didn't affect him enough to forget what he was supposed to be doing and where he was=good chin

Agree 2 a point. They both took Corley light and went in reckless. Now Floyd got rocked but came back in that same round to whoop Corleys ass. Now Corley had Cotto's ass lookin' like a baby deer tryin' 2 stand on it's own for the first time. Have you seen that fight? When he rocked Cotto, Corley was clueless on how to finish. In any event, both got hit with shots they never saw coming and Floyd handled himself much better.

Maybe a tecnical knockdown on par with the rulebook but you and I know that wasn't a knockdown. That is, if you even watched the fight.

Corley fought Mayweather first. So if he had no idea how to finish in the Cotto fight than I'm guessing the same applies to the PBF fight. That is unless he just up and forgot in a year.

Corley had a huge window against Cotto, that window was slimmer versus Mayweather. Like I said, you can't hit him again after you rock him. He recoups 2 fast. I still feel what chu sayin' though. Then again Cotto and his chin shouldn't have been brought up when it came to Corley because the shot that rocked him connected on the temple.
