    Is it a tuneup fight?

Manny Pacquiao just got a belt at 135. Next step for him is either another 135-lb. titlist or a shot at Hatton's belt at 140.

I'm currently arguing with a big Edwin Valero supporter (who shall remain nameless but I think you can figure out who it is....) who took offense at the fact that I called Valero a tuneup.

Now don't get me wrong , I think Valero is an okay fighter and could be dangerous , but I consider him nothing more than a tuneup fight for Manny.

Does anyone here think that he'd be fighting Valero if all the other Titlists and big name guys weren't already signed to a fight and unavailable. Hell , I think Soto would probably be fighting Manny in November if Cortez didn't screw him over.

Do you think Valero is a big fight for Manny or a tuneup (keep busy) fight before he goes on to Marquez , Casamayor , Campbell , Hatton , etc.?

Yes. Valero is just a tuneup fight for Manny 'til his next big fight.

I wouldn't just dismiss somebody who has KO'd everyone he has fought. Sure he hasn't beaten anyone close to Pac's level, but that isn't proof positive that he can't.

he's dangerous but is he what you consider one of manny's big fights?

larios , solis and velazquez were dangerous too......but they were still tuneup fights before his big fights with erik , juan ma and marco.

            I don't think it's a tuneup but it isn't a big fight either.

I will be ok with the fight if it was on regular HBO and not PPV, there is no way that is a PPV main event.
