At 140i believe Hatton hits harder than Cotto did and thats what the difference will be, Paulie wont last the distance in this one, especially as its fairly obvious now that Hatton will want to look good to make the payday with Manny even more attractive as his swansong

He also never warned Floyd for holding, elbowing, turning and using the headbutt. With all the fouls Floyd committed that night Cortez takes a point away from Hatton after Ricky hurt him right after Floyd landed yet another elbow and went in between the ropes to avoid getting hit again. That's when RH decided he was never going to get a fair shake and had to KO Floyd to win and he got reckless, which is always dangerous against a fast, accurate, hard punching counter puncher like Floyd.
Im pretty sure there are several threads on here debating how ****ing useless Joe Cortez is now given his recent refereeing travesties, open your eyes people, Cortez was ****ing appalling during the Hatton/Mayweather fight and has got worse since.

see above, i totally agree mate

He called Gavin Rees a top 140 fighter!!!

Hatton beat Tszyu - the Man at 140, considered at the time no2 p4p in the world. He had beat Sharmba Mitchell by devestating knockout 6 months before he fought Hatton. Mitchell was in the top 3 at 140.

He beat Maussa who was the WBA Champion. He had knocked out Vivain Harris cold. He'd only been stopped once - on cuts - against Miguel Cotto. Hatton knocked him clean out.

He beat the IBF Champ, Urango, undefeated at the time. Then beat Castillo.

So all in all Hatton beat the top guy at 140, two other legitimate world champions and his number one challenger in Castillo.

Yeah Hatton's sure done **** all at 140!
and dont forget he was the lineal champ too, not bad accolades for someone who has done **** all!!!
Cotto was pretty weight drained at 140. I heard he had to be literally carried out of the weigh-in. You could see that in his performance as he was very sloppy and actually lost a lot of rounds to Paulie. Paulie even buzzed him in one of the rounds, he was that weak.

I agree in a way though, Paulie is actually a tough kid despite his image and persona. I can see a decision or late tko for Hatton cos he's a different beast from Cotto at 140.
people dont seem to be able to admit this for some reason but its a fair and accurate statement.

that indeed, and that is the same reason why Mayweather will come back to fight Cotto.... thats if he wins his next fight....
