You see this is the only thing Hatton is good for.... You put a guy that needs to be tested in with him, because he KEEPS coming and he can take one hell of a beating. But I think Hatton will loose once again. Much respect to him but I think he will be out boxed and will loose by a UD.

I used to like Hatton and thought he was good (and he was a while ago) but i picked Mayweather to knock him out before the fight and i was right, that's when i stopped caring and realized how average he is.Last edited by Chase8400; 07-08-2008, 02:04 PM.

He called Gavin Rees a top 140 fighter!!!
Hatton beat Tszyu - the Man at 140, considered at the time no2 p4p in the world. He had beat Sharmba Mitchell by devestating knockout 6 months before he fought Hatton. Mitchell was in the top 3 at 140.
He beat Maussa who was the WBA Champion. He had knocked out Vivain Harris cold. He'd only been stopped once - on cuts - against Miguel Cotto. Hatton knocked him clean out.
He beat the IBF Champ, Urango, undefeated at the time. Then beat Castillo.
So all in all Hatton beat the top guy at 140, two other legitimate world champions and his number one challenger in Castillo.
Yeah Hatton's sure done **** all at 140!

Floyd didnt "expose" Hatton. Hatton had several disadvantages going into the fight and a few more during the fight. Even then, Floyd was only really brilliant for 3 rounds of that fight (8,9 and 10).
You make it sound like Malignaggi is fighting some sort of gatekeeper who's gonna test him if he's good enough for the top. Hatton IS the top. Hes the best at 140. If Paulie wins, he's the man.
I personally dont see it. Paulie isnt as elusive as people think. Hes actually very easy to hit. And he doesnt back off as much as you'd think. He stood and mixed it with Cotto and N'dou in the rematch. He's actually a tough kid and I can see him escaping with a decision loss.

Personally I think Hatton is done. PBF pretty much exposed him so badly it was sad. I think if they fight it will be a good one, but like I said I think Hatton will loose to Malignaggi by a UD. Dude will just out work him and counter him all night. I defiantly don't think he will win by a KO but will win on points. Hatton i think will land some good body shots by "trying" to fight rough/dirty but over all I think he will loose. Will be an entertaining fight though. I hope his hand injury goes well and is 100%. ready. If not he will surely loose...
Another thing. PBF fought Hatton because he brings the best payday besides ODLH and way more fans. Floyd was happy as hell that he got out of that fight in one piece , so don't go saying that he knew he would do this or he knew he would do that because the fact of the matter is that anything can happen in that ring and Floyd knew that Hatton was a tough customer. That's why he cried like a baby when he won with his kids in the ring. He happened to land a good KO punch that he knew would not happen every time. Good props to him. But , saying that every fighter who beats another fighter is on a higher level is just boxing-ignorance. Hatton lost, but was not outclassed alltogether. He was beaten by more than just Floyd on that night.Last edited by Chase8400; 07-08-2008, 02:17 PM.

I cant stand Pauli and I would love to see him knocked out but I pick him to win this fight and to do it quite easily.

Pretty sure he won every round against Lazcano. People only seem to remember him getting buzzed twice in that fight and equate that to a bad performance. Hatton has been buzzed like that a few times in his career. Comes with the territory and his style. I actually thought he looked good.
Although if you were watching it on American tv, I can see how you've come to such a warped conclusion.
