Well those numbers seem pretty good. Domain was close he was only about 150,000 off.

Do you or anybody else know how much Calzaghe-Hopkins did sell and does anybody have a link to a site that lists past ppv-sales?

        the number is bull****!

a friend of mine told me that domain told him that domain's friend who has a source in the industry told him that the ppv only did 150k.

staples center would be my preference.

if the diaz fight was in l.a. it would've sold out.

uncle bob made a mistake holding the fight the weekend before a 3-day 4th of july weekend.

people that already had plans for the 3-day holiday wasn't gonna go to vegas the weekend before.

That is what was expected. It should not go over what Pac vs. Morales made which is 300K. Diaz is not a legend.

Bwahaha Yeah, you can't beat the "word on the street". I predicted 180-200K, so if they really did 250K, that's not too bad considering Diaz brought almost nothing to the table.

Calzaghe-Hopkins was on regular HBO, not PPV.

If you're paying the talent only about 200K combined then it doesn't take that many buys to show a profit. but when you guarantee the fighters millions of dollars then there is a lot of pressure to get buys. That's why the main eventers almost always have a percentage over a certain number of buys as motivation to promote the show.
