Having Peterson on the card was done to set up a possible match with Holt.

After seeing Holt come out fast with Torres, he may just try to do the same with Lamont, thinking Lamont hasn't been pressured thus far in his career.

Lamont however will be too fast and too accurate for Holt in my opinion, and should win the fight by a wide margin on the cards...
