Does the Mexican Warrior mentality work well in the Heavyweight division??

There haven’t been many Mexican heavyweight champions of the world; I think there have been a few from my knowledge of Mexican boxing.

It’s the most prestigious division in the boxing and Mexican do so well in boxing they can produce heavyweight champions anytime they want to but for some reason they don’t. I don’t think it because of their size.

That warrior mentality doesn’t work well in the HW division, because in the lower weight classes you can take 5 or 6 straight right hands and you will be fine.

In the HW division one right hand can knock you out. In the HW division defence is sometimes key, something lacking in Mexican boxing.

It would work if the HW's were a lil smaller. A guy like Holyfield was just over 200 and could hit and get hit all nite long at his best. If there were any Mexican HW's around that size, we might have the HW champ we wish we had.

Wladimir the undisputed HW champion of the world is a lot more defensive than previous boxers and he wasn’t even trained in America, it shows that defence is extremely vital in the HW division. Wladimir is a patience boxer and is sometimes extremely defensive.

Boxing is absolutely huge in Mexico. Are you saying out of 100 million they can’t produce one single HW champion of the world? I have seen a lot of big Mexicans in my lifetime they aren’t that small people make them out to be.

Look how small Mike Tyson was and how well in did in the heavyweight division. Are you saying Mike Tyson would be considered as tall in Mexico.
