anyone would think that Khan was the champ and Arthur was the one begging for a shot,
Nicky Cook is a decent fighter but no more, Arthur will beat him and then Khan too.

maybe outside the UK but surely anyone who knows UK boxing knows who Arthur is and recognises the name as much as that of Khan or is NSB really full of young kids who actually know nothing about the sport apart from the hyped names ( not insinuating thats you raycorey, just generalising)

I understand what you mean but casual fans in the UK known who khan is and am pretty sure they dont know who Arthur is, Hardcore Fans like me and you obviously knows how boxing works and recognise Arthur as the champion but not to the people who only see Amir khan the media boy/darling.

dont get me wrong, the casual fans pay the bills etc and especially for the more well known boxers but for even the promotors and the journalists to be putting the same spin on it as the casual fan (ie in the article referenced by alza1988) thats just outrageous and a slur on Arthur. Im NOT an Arthur nuthugger or even that convinced by him tbh but its all the BS in the sport that pisses me off, why should Arthur be promised a shot at Khan, he is already the title holder andshould be saying that Khan has to earn a shot at him, not the other way round!!!

Its becoming a sport that is all about NAME, Even though Alex is the champion Khan is the known name and boxing has become more about a NAME than a belt, I remember when Witter was the WBC champion and was calling Hatton out people were still talking about how Hatton is the name and deserve a 90/10 split in his favour.

I can guarantee you that if Alex arthur faces Khan he would make less than Khan but enough to be his highest paid fight.

Its annoying when you think about it but thats the way boxing is going right now.

Most of the good fighters are moving up to lightweight or have moved up.I read JMM is moving up as well.Arthur has even been talking about moving up after a couple of defences
