Don't you think he should fight a decent light weight to really see if his power is there, before taking on a hard hitting Hatton?

The hatton fight is too soon, he barely went to light weight against Diaz who ain't that much of a puncher. He should Fight JMM and DOMINATE THAT WEIGHT CLASS before fighting Hatton. IF anything PAC doesn't need HATTON. But Getting that convincing fight against JMM would erase that debate, wether he was old or not.

how can you place marquez #1?
he lost to chris john and couldn't even put away OLD PAST PRIME
Rocky Juarez & Barrera. Now he fighting OLD PAST PRIME Casa.

nah i think he has the power to hurt hatton now.

say what you want about diaz but he was a good test run on how he'd do against hatton.

obviously ricky is better skilled but by how much? diaz has fought half his fights at 140 and 147. he had a decent enough chin.

i think manny can hurt ricky. whether he can beat him depends on how much ricky can bully him.

i just want to see manny get this ricky thing over with now because it ain't gonna go away. rather see it now and then he can concentrate on the winners of the upcoming lightweight bouts.

i know he should fight other lightweights. but why wait for them when hatton is just around the corner. no one is available in lightweight for nov. 8 since everyone is fighting each other to get a shot at pacquiao. guzman-campbell, juan-katsidis and casa-marquez. no one is available for nov 8 so valero has to take the spot. i wish it was soto to fight manny since i know for fact that valero is untested. it would be a good fight if pac fights soto then valero fight antillon on the undercard. then early 2009 why worry about the other lightweights when hatton is ready at the same time. fighting hatton even if he losses atleast he can still go back to lightweight and fight mid 2009 and late 2009. unlike if he fight other lightweights and losses he will lose a mega buck fight with hatton. if ur thinking about business and for a greater status in boxing this is what you should do.

"HOW" in my opinion would I rank JMM #1 ? didn't you read the post? I thought I said because you can't compare Casa and Diaz......didn't I? The ranking of Lightweights was another thread, but I have

            Casa
            Nate
            Pac
            Juan Diaz etc, etc,
soooo according to me IF JMM beats CASA he could be ranked by me as #1

            you got me?

Nobody wants to see PAc fight hatton. Hatton lost 2 fights ago, and looked bad in his win. He is very beatable right now. Arum has dismissed that fight and is trying to make the Valero fight. The business with Marquez is done for now. I thought Marquez won their last fight. PAc probably should've won the first fight by a point. Fight Valero PAc or you'll have to deal with my wrath. lol

I think Pac should concentrate on unifyin the LW division before he goes up in weight again. He don't need to beat JMM again, but if he wins the Ring belt from Casa a 3rd fight is the best option, unless he fights the Guzman-Nate winner instead. The Hatton fight is a big one, but no need to jump up again when there's work to be done in his current division.

you might have a point ...but I just don't think putting Pac in with a known brawler that's fought @ 140 for most of his carrer, is a wise move.... Pac is still in his prime he could last for a while still. It's kind of like Having Cotto move up to fight Sergio Mora and beating him easily, then saying **** it Pavlik is just around the corner.....WTF why not?

JMM. Then Guzman. What happened to the "If he fights in that division he has to beat the top people" regrad?

If JMM and Guzman lose, I want to see him fight Casamayor and Campbell. I'd like to see Pacquiao clear out a division for once.
