Tyson had his head up his ass and as you can see over the years has been known for underestimating opponents. Flloyd is and will always be too focused to underestimate. Still though your point is well taken.

Thats what the majority of people are saying though. Yes, we all agree Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an incredibly talented boxer. He had a great run at 130 and 135, but what hes done at 140 and above isn't that impressive considering who is out there to be beat. Most of us would like to see for a variety of reasons. To see Mayweathers skills on display against guys who pose stylistic matchups. To see if he can win against the best welters. Some people simply just want to see him lose. I'd prefer to see memorable fights and with his skills, he is able to do that. He just doesn't seem interested in fighting the dangerous guys. He has that right as it is his health, but you can't fool me into thinking hes the best fighter right now, or ever. I have to see it first. Could Mayweather beat those welters I listed? Of course, just as they could beat him.

Manny Pacquiao doesn't really leave any of the doubt that Mayweather does and thats the bottom line. He isn't as skillful, but he's far more memorable and it has nothing to do with their fighting styles, both of which I can appreciate.

Shane was a great fighter, still a good fighter, and yes they should have fought 7 years ago, but hes on the decline he loses a lopsided decision. He doesnt produce the combos he used to and he's not as fastas he once was, Flloyd rolls and ducks while countering all night.

Cotto which is very intriguing is made for Mayweather. He does have the chin MARG has, Flloyd can potshot his way early build a lead on the cards and BOOM land a big one that flattens Cotto. He's not ready yet he doesnt posses the D thats needed to beat Flloyd. In order to beat Flloyd you cant just come in and pressure the man he will counter you all night and land those accurate shots just piling up points on the scorecard. A fighter needs to be able to make Flloyd miss, and at this point in his career and Cotto cant make ppl miss, then he doesnt styand a chance.

I agree with Shane for the most part but I think it would be a close fight maybe going in Mayweather's direction; after what I saw from Shane against Cotto & Callozo, I think he still has some fire left.

Cotto I can't agree with, his defense is much better than it used to be, yes he still gets caught sometimes, but not to the point where he is getting tagged like Gatti or Corrales every single round. But the defense is not what he needs to beat Floyd, it's the timing & offense, the same timing & offense that got to Shane & Zab.

I think Floyd would outbox Margarito, but anything could happen. Margarito isn't super quick when it comes to footwork and/or handspeed, but his Dangerous power & pressure combined poses a problem for any welterweight.
