In terms of skills and at the end of the day....long after both men are done with the sport, Manny will be known a a great champion, but one who was no where near the caliber of FMJ

In terms of memories of a career and at the end of the day....long after both men are done with the sport, Manny will be remembered as a legendary warrior who didn't need to disrespect opponents all while still kicking ass, while Mayweather will be remembered for having all these skills and retiring in the moment he could have proved himself as one of the best ever.


Nobody cares about skills when you're facing the jv squad. Get over this "skills" deal. It takes more than great skills to make a great legend.

obviously floyd is better skilled.

sasakul at flyweight was considered the best flyweight in the world at the time.

ledwaba at the time was considered #1 or #2 in the division.

barrera and morales' greatness can NOT be questioned.

marquez was considered one of the best skilled fighters at 126 and 130 when he moved there.

manny just has 1 fight at 135. we'll have to see what he does in that division.

outside of 130 and 135 , i don't think floyd has met the best in his division. kostya fight not happening wasn't floyd's fault but he still didn't face off against him. i have cotto and margarito right under floyd at 147 and i don't know if floyd ever will meet up with either.

Let's examined how pac and floyd's competition as they went up in weight
Pac in his second fight at 126 fought the lineal champion barrera
Floyd was fighting ndou, corley, and bruseles. To be equal with pac, that's like him going up to 140 and immediately fighting kostya Tszyu
Pac in a couple of months fought Marquez at 126.
That would equivalent to floyd fighting Cotto after fight Kostya
Pac went up to 130 and fought morales who was considered #2 at the time at that weight.
Floyd went up to 147 and fought sharmba mitchell. to be equivalent to pac, his first fight at 147 should have been against margarito who was ranked #2 behind Zab
Pac went on to win the lineal champion at 130 against a man that #3 at the highest at p4p ranking.
Floyd fought a transitional champion in baldomir and never gave cotto or margarito a shot.
Pac went up to 135 and dominated david diaz. A guy who was ranked #3 at lightweight.
Floyd went up to 154 and barely beat an old oscar. A man who was ranked #5 by the ring magazine at superwelterweight at the time

I always thought both contestants stood in opposite corners while the ref stood in the ring with a check list. He yells out an attribute such as "jab" and both fighters display their jabs. Whoever has the better one, gets the check mark. Same with all various types of punches, parries, blocking schemes etc. I never knew they actually fought. All those events I seen on tv, I always thought those were just the computer generated results.
